In recent times, Alternative Medicinal Products have been encouraged by many countries to treat Patients. According to WHO, it is noted that 84 countries have agreed to a Market Surveillance system for herbal Medicinal products. By 2019, 88% of WHO member states acknowledged the use of Traditional Medicine and Complementary Medicine in Alternative Healthcare. This has become a benchmark for Chinese and Japan Traditional practices.

Alternative Healthcare gains much scope in countries like China, Japan, Switzerland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, and the Netherlands having a greater number of CAM practices to establish health systems. Also, Natural medicine and Herbal cosmetic products supply are increasing with respect to the increase in side effects of modern medicine. 

Alternative Healthcare practice majorly focuses on maintaining the balance between the mental & physical health of an individual. Alternative Healthcare services are mostly available in three forms such as complementary, alternative, and integrative practices. These services are further subdivided into Aromatherapy, Ayurveda, Homeopathy, Reflexology, and Yoga therapy. Healing procedures for alternative therapies differ according to the techniques used. Essential oils are used in Aromatherapy for healing whereas herbs are used for Ayurveda medicine.
